A lesson with Relic Surf School will take you 12 minutes from Ucluelet, usually to the beautiful surf of Wickaninnish Beach in Pacific Rim National Park, just south of Long Beach. At the beach you will learn about surf etiquette, ocean safety, the ways of the ocean, your equipment and how to use it effectively to get yourself surfing the waves.

The Relic Surf Instructors are a fun and passionate crew of surfers who are trained in ocean safety and carry a minimum of Bronze Cross/Medallion CPR training. All of our instructors are multi faccetted and have coaching backgrounds not only in surfing but other sports as well, bringing a whole different level of understanding and stoke to the water.

Surf Instructor Profiles

Brett Kirton - Brett is our chief beach bum. This guy lives for the surf and spends every waking moment at the ocean. Brett has been teaching surfing for 3 years and now has international status as a surf instructor.

Jon Schaffer - Jons chill vibes will get you prepped for an awesome time in the water and his extensive teaching experience will propel you confidently into the world of surfing.

Marthe Bakker - Marthe is our newest surf fanatic, bringing a huge background of internationally certified snowboard and ski coaching/teaching to her lessons. This girl charges and will get you infected with the surf bug!

Surf Lesson Packages -includes lesson & all gear for remainder of day

• $74 3hr Beginner group lesson at 10am
• $74 3hr Beginner group lesson at 2pm

Private Lessons (Lesson times are based on request and availability)

• $89 1 person, private 2 hour lesson (no rentals required).
• $120 1 person, private 2 hour lesson, all rental gear.
• add $60 per additional person needing rentals or $40 without rentals.
